Beirut, 16 September 2021(TDI): Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, visits Beirut. The visit started earlier this morning on Thursday, 16th-September 2021.
During the visit, Dr. Tedros met with government officials, health representatives, and WHO partners.
The Director-General of the World Health Organization also had a meeting with the minister Firass Abiad and the Regional Director for WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office.
The main agenda of the meeting is to discuss the situation of the Pandemic and its effect in Lebanon.
Lebanon Communicable Disease Committee also reviewed vital public health threats.
The meeting discussed constructive approaches towards the health necessities of Lebanon amidst the Pandemic.
Dr. Tedros, in the meeting, assured the Lebanon officials of WHO’s unwavering support. Director-General of the World Health Organization guaranteed the full provision of uniform Health Care, vaccine distribution, and a strong health care force.
