**Islamabad (TDI):** The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Atadjan Movlamov, welcomed the 7th cohort International Young Diplomats at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad.

During his interaction with the participants, the Ambassador noted the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan. He elaborated how histories and ancestries of both the countries converge. The Ambassador gave an introduction of Turkmenistan to the participants: its geography, culture, and geopolitical position.

Speaking on culture, the Ambassador informed the participants about the ongoing year of Horse. This led the participants to raise curious questions about the love and significance of horses in the Turkmen culture. The ambassador told them of the special and unique Turkmen breed called the Akhal Teke, and added that a horse race from the Ashgabat to Moscow; something that last happened in 1945, is also set to take place sooner.
