# Dar Discusses Regional Situation, US-Iran Talks with Egyptian FM

**Islamabad (TDI):** Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty late Friday, during which the two sides reviewed the evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), both ministers welcomed the positive momentum in regional diplomacy and expressed optimism that ongoing engagement between the United States and Iran would produce an early and constructive outcome.

The two foreign ministers voiced hope that progress in US-Iran talks would contribute to lasting peace and stability across the region, amid growing expectations that negotiations between Tehran and Washington are nearing a breakthrough.

The discussion also underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional challenges, with both leaders agreeing to remain in close contact and continue consultations on issues of mutual interest.

The call came a day after Dar held a similar conversation with European Union High Representative Kaja Kallas, during which both sides welcomed recent progress toward a possible US-Iran understanding and expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would lead to a durable agreement.

According to the Foreign Office, Dar and Kallas reaffirmed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving conflicts and advancing long-term regional peace and stability.
