Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command met Pakistan’s Naval Chief

Islamabad, 13 October 2021 (TDI): Commander of the United States (US) Naval Forces Central Command, Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, met Chief of the Naval Staff Pakistan, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi. The meeting took place at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by Pakistan Navy, both officials discussed the dynamics of maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region during the meeting. They also exchanged views on bilateral naval collaboration.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan Navy’s role in maintaining regional maritime security and stability. Since 2004, Pakistan Navy is regularly contributing to the Combined Maritime Forces, the statement added.

Pakistan has also commanded Multinational Combined Task Forces 150 and 151 nine and eleven times respectively. Both sides agreed to bilateral naval collaboration at all levels.
