# Chinese, Russian Warships Conduct Joint Drills

**MOSCOW, (TDI):** Chinese and Russian naval warships have conducted anti-submarine exercises in the northwestern Pacific Ocean as part of a joint patrol in the Asia-Pacific region, according to Russian media.

The Interfax agency reported that a tactical group of warships maneuvered to establish a formation for anti-submarine defense. The joint patrols commenced following the Beibu/Interaction 2024 naval exercises held in September.

During these patrol missions, various training sessions and combat exercises were planned, focusing on anti-submarine defense and maritime rescue operations. However, the agency did not specify a timeline for the drills.

From the Russian side, the large anti-submarine destroyers Admiral Panteleyev and Admiral Tributs from the Pacific Fleet participated in the exercises.

China was represented by the destroyers Xining and Wuxi, the frigate Linyi, and the integrated supply ship Taihu, according to Interfax.
