Chinese Foreign Minister partakes in G20 Conference

Beijing, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Minister of Foreign Affairs and State Counselor of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi partook in a video conference of G20 foreign ministers on Thursday. In the meeting, he discussed the Afghan issue and asserted that the embargo should be lifted from Afghanistan. He asserted that the foreign reserves of Afghanistan belong to its people. Moreover, he extended various prepositions for the solution of the Afghan issue. He mentioned that humanitarian aid should be provided to the people in Afghanistan. He further mentioned that China is willing to provide humanitarian aid worth 200 million Yuan to the Afghan people. The foreign minister asserted that countries responsible for the current situation in Afghanistan should rethink their actions. They should help the Afghan people.

Wangi Yi in addition mentioned that the international community should join hands to counter-terrorism, help nations in the hour of need, and should prevent Afghanistan from becoming a land of terrorism again. The minister also asserted that China supports the role of the UN in maintaining peace and stability in Afghanistan.
