China’s peacebuilding role by Deputy Secretary-General UN

New York, 22 October 2021 (TDI): The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina J. Mohammed talked about China’s major role in peacebuilding through development and infrastructure at vision China’s virtual speech session.

The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina J. Mohammed highlighted the contribution of China in the United Nations peacebuilding program through development which provides major support to the United Nations entire system. In the video message, the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN said that over the past decade China has provided financial assistance to the UN for regulations processes and tried to maintain peace and stability all across the globe. The China UN has collaborated in different sectors and strengthened the UN development system for future generations. 

She further added that China has achieved several milestones over the past years and according to estimates China has eradicated more than 750 million people from the poverty line and they moved toward sustainability. She said “ we need China’s consistent support to tackle the tremendous global challenges as the COVID-19 pandemic situation is worsening with passage of time and on the other hand climatic changes have devastated impacts in our environment”.
