Hainan, 1 August 2022 (TDI): The 2nd China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) was wrapped up in the Chinese island province of Hainan.
The six-day expo has attracted over 1,600 brands from 61 countries and regions. Some 2,800 brands from 1,955 enterprises home and abroad participated in the exhibitions. While Thirty-one companies have signed up for the third edition.
Hainan is increasingly known as a place where the domestic and international circulation of the economy converges. It is becoming a magnet for global businesses.

Step toward global economic recovery
This expo has become a new platform to demonstrate China’s willingness to share its market opportunities with the world and contribute to global economic recovery and growth.
Moreover, it was part of the country’s dynamic zero-COVID strategy and efficient execution of a slew of pro-growth measures.
The expo marks a step forward in the construction of the Hainan free trade port. Significantly, this was part of the master plan, released by China. It included building the island province into a globally influential and high-level free trade port.
Hainan has significantly implemented a series of preferential policies. These include visa-free entry, offshore duty-free shopping, and a tax-exempt imports list. This has provided a good channel for overseas brands to enter the Chinese market.
Moreover, among the famed global brands who attended this year’s expo were Tesla, Dell, Richemont, Estée Lauder, and Ferrari.
Remarks of important officials
Saravoot Yoovidhya, the CEO of Thailand-Based TCP Group, the inventor and owner of the Red Bull brand shared his views about the expo. He extended high hopes to embrace new opportunities through these regional consumer product expos.
Moreover, these opportunities play a meaningful role in supporting the province’s socioeconomic development.
He further mentioned that the expo boosted positive momentum for the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Thailand.
Wang Lijun, Senior Vice President of Dell Technologies stated that the company will continue to showcase more and newer tech items at these expos.
He also mentioned that Dell technologies will work to create more opportunities to upgrade China’s consumer market.
