British Foreign Secretary toured the Torkham Border

Torkham, 4 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Secretary of the UK Dominic Raab paid a visit to the Pak-Afghan border at Torkham. Pakistan military staff escorted him and explained to him the actual situation on the ground.

Foreign Secretary Raab is on his two-day tour to Pakistan. He has already met the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan to discuss the impacts of the Afghan situation on regional security. Yesterday, he went to the Torkham area to see for himself the ground reality.

Torkham is a crucial crossing point at the 2600 km long Pak-Afghan Border. Therefore, Raab was guided by the armed personnel throughout his tour. He also met the security staff standing in sensitive areas to deal with any future crisis.
