Peshawar, 24 September 2021 (TDI): Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice-Chancellor of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University of Pakistan, participated in a webinar entitled “How BRI can help Afghanistan” conducted by Friends of BRI Forum, today.

She shared her views on how BRI could help Afghanistan achieve peace and stability. She said that besides being a global power, China is great power in the region. She mentioned that under the umbrella of BRI both, Pakistan and China can coordinate with each other. She also said that only BRI can bring the Taliban to the table.

According to Razia Sultana, the situation of Afghanistan is highly volatile as there is a shift in the regime. The Taliban should accept the international norms, to keep diplomatic relations with China and other countries. She predicted that China would recognize the Taliban’s government and collaborate with them economically. In this regard, she suggested that Pakistan should help China.
