Washington D.C., 23 September 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday evening, US President Joe Biden welcomed the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the White House. The officials discussed bilateral relations between the two states, besides committing to working together on all platforms, including trade, economy, and the environment.
During the sitting in Washington, President Biden emphasized the ‘ironclad’ relationship between the two countries and exhibited commitment towards working with the United Kingdom on multiple fronts, particularly fighting the climate crisis and Covid-19.
US President Joe Biden expressed pleasure over working with the United Kingdom on several ambitions laid out earlier at the Group of Seven (G7), besides emphasizing a return to their revitalized Atlantic Charter. He also anticipated attending the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), soon to be hosted by the United Kingdom in November.
