Washington, 7 September 2021 (TDI): Secretary of State Antony Blinken corresponded with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister for International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs.
Antony Blinken, on behalf of the US government, expressed gratitude to the minister for the UAE government’s exceptional role in turbulent Afghanistan. UAE supported the USA greatly during the evacuation from Kabul. It granted safe transit to the USA’s embassy personnel, citizens, and other foreign nationals.
