Washington, 17 March 2022 (TDI): Joe Biden, the President of the United States (US) has announced a whooping 800$ million military aid for Ukraine after President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech to the US Congress.

The decision was announced on Wednesday. The speech of the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, is also called to be an “assuring speech”.  President Biden stated that the US is helping a good ally to contain and fight Russia’s assault.

The American President enunciated that his country was leading the effort, together with its allies and partners to provide enormous levels of security as well as humanitarian assistance to the war-affected country.

President Biden further stated that the US was going to continue to do more in days & weeks ahead. The fight is about the right of people to choose their own future and about “making sure Ukraine never will be a victory for Putin, no matter what advances he makes on the battlefield.”

President Joe Biden stressed the strength of the military aid, new weapons, and anti-craft weapons. This aid also includes a tremendous supply of traditional weapons, consisting of guns and high-profile radars.

This adds to 1$ billion that the United States has spent on Ukraine. Moreover, Biden also hinted at more aid if need be. On Wednesday, Ukraine’s President Zelensky was asked to deliver a speech to congress.

He gave a heart-wrenching speech full of bitter reality and hope for his people. His speech gained him overwhelming support from the US congress. He also requested more assistance, a no-fly zone, and harsh sanctions on Russia.

Zelensky spoke of the hideous and cruel American history to portray the sentiments of his people and to make sense of the situation his nation is in and asked for the guidance of the congress, after three weeks of fighting battles with Russian soldiers.
