Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister holds telephonic conversation with Iranian Counterpart

Baku, 13 October 2021: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone discussion with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

The Ministers shared their views on the present status of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran. Both sides noticed the cold manner of relations lately. Which doesn’t relate to the degree of amicable relations between the nations. And the need to resolve all distinctions through discourse. The Ministers focused on the significance of continued regard of the standards of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the states.

The issues identified with transit transportation through the Republic of Azerbaijan by the method of direct contacts between significant government offices were also discussed during the call. The Ministers conversed on different issues of shared interest. Both Ministers decided to enhance bilateral relations and strengthen diplomatic ties in the future.
