Azerbaijani Foreign Minister meets Algerian Ambassador

Baku, 26 October 2021 (TDI): Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov received the Algerian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Salima Abdelhak.

The Ambassador is completing her diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov appreciated the Ambassador’s efforts for the development of bilateral relations. He wished her success in her future endeavors. The Minister noted the high level of political dialogue can further strengthen cooperation.

Minister briefed his interlocutor about the new post-conflict situation in the region. He also mentioned new opportunities for cooperation in the region. These opportunities created after the elimination of the occupation of the territories. The Azerbaijani Minister highlighted that Baku and Algiers successfully cooperate within International organizations. Both countries cooperate in the UN, OIC, and NAM.

Ambassador, Salima Abdelhak expressed gratitude for the support provided to her during her diplomatic mission. She showed satisfaction with the development of relations between Algeria and Azerbaijan. The Ambassador stressed that Algeria has always been guided by the principles of International law. Algeria supports Azerbaijan’s position which is based on International law. During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries.
