Baku, 9 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan extended condolences to the news on the collapse of a seven-story building in Batumi city of Georgia.
Baku expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the deadly incident. It has also wished a speedy recovery to all injured. A residential building partially collapsed in Georgia’s Black Sea city of Batumi. An unidentified number of people were trapped under the debris. All residents of the building have been evacuated.
It was not immediately clear what caused the collapse of the seven-story building. Some witnesses said the collapse occurred after an explosion. Some local residents said it might have been caused by ongoing repair works on the building’s second floor. In this hard time, Azerbaijan expressed solidarity with Georgia.
