Jakarta, 11 November 2021 (TDI): Australian Foreign Minister, Marise Payne has landed yesterday in Indonesia to conduct meetings with Pacific countries dignitaries.
The Foreign Minister met with her counterpart from Indonesia, Menteri Luar Negeri in Jakarta. She congratulated Indonesia for assuming the position of Chair of the G20.

The matters like Covid 19 recovery efforts were discussed in the meeting. Minister Marise expressed gratitude to the Indonesian Foreign Minister on behalf of her country over Indonesia’s support of ASEAN-AUSTRALIA Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
While the Indonesian Foreign Minister welcomed her Australian counterpart in Jakarta. In a tweet she said, earlier we met in Rome and discussed Green Economy and Energy Transition Cooperation.
Previously, she had stayed in Malaysia and Cambodia to discuss matters related to ASEAN centrality in the Indo Pacific.
Meeting with Cambodia Foreign Minister
Australian Foreign Minister and Minister of Women Affairs, Marise Payne had a meeting with her counterpart in Cambodia, Prak Sokhonn.
In a meeting, the two addressed the Australia-Cambodia relationship and shared Covid recovery accordingly. They also discussed the 2022 ASEAN Chair for Cambodia in the next year.
Minister Payne also noted that ASEAN is at the heart of Indo-Pacific which is open, inclusive, and resilient. The Australian Foreign Minister is on a visit to ASEAN members States.
