-

Canberra, 19 October 2021 (TDI): Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) proposed a thorough plan to mitigate pandemic Covid-19 effects in the region.

In a tweet DFAT announced the agenda which include Pacific partners with them in coping the critical situation.

The plan includes the process of “development” and strengthening of ‘social protection’ for economic resilience.

Under the ‘Partnerships for Recovery’ Australia is committed to its Pacific Neighbors. It has adopted budget to support the regimes to build social protection mechanisms in their states.

Australian Government earlier proposed papers named as ‘Partnerships for Recovery’ including the developmental policy to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic in their region.

The plan also contains encouragement to humanitarian organizations and NGOs for assistance. Especially for IDPs, refugees, migrants and other excluded groups.

Earlier, United Nations’ report for Sustainable Development Goals revealed that over ’71 million people have been pushed into poverty in 2020′.
