During the session, Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan enjoined the respective speakers to apprise the audience of India’s human rights violations in Kashmir while urging the international community to take substantial measures on the matter.

Earlier on Monday, Ambassador Khan and Pakistan’s government representative Shehryar Afridi also addressed the World Kashmir Awareness Forum in Washington. They reiterated Pakistan’s moral and political support towards the people of Kashmir and maintained that the country would never compromise on the subject. Moreover, the officials expressed gratitude towards the audience for exhibiting solidarity with the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and aspired for the world to support their right to self-determination.
