Islamabad, 13 January 2022 (TDI): The Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Nong Rong met with the National Security Adviser of Pakistan, Moeed Yusuf. During the meeting, the two discussed issues pertaining to China-Pakistan bilateral relations.
The Chinese Ambassador shared the news on his official Twitter handle. Afghanistan situation and issues of common interests were also deliberated upon during the meeting.

Pakistan and China: All-weather Strategic Partners
Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic partners. The two celebrated 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations, last year. Both collaborate in a multitude of fields for mutual benefit. One such example is the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Many ventures are ongoing under the umbrella of CPEC. Some have been completed while some are near completion. These include collaboration in energy projects, infrastructure as well as economic and agricultural collaboration.
Aside from economic and trade cooperation, China and Pakistan are staunch partners in the realm of military and defense. Both have been working towards a common goal to maintain stability in the region.
Militarily, China has provided many cutting-edge technologies as well as defense equipment to the Armed Forces of Pakistan. In addition, the two partners also conduct military exercises on a regular basis to maintain operational preparedness and battle readiness.
Furthermore, China and Pakistan also collaborate in the literary and educational domains. Many Pakistani students are pursuing higher education in the universities of China.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, China has greatly helped Pakistan by supplying vaccines as well as relevant medical equipment required to treat the virus. In collaboration with China, Pakistan has also locally started producing the Covid-19 vaccine with the name of PakVac.
