Algiers, 15 December 2021 (TDI): Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramtane Lamamra met with his counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Croatia, Gordan Grlić-Radman. Croatian Foreign Minister was on two days working visit of Algeria. Likewise, both discussed bilateral issues between Algeria and Croatia.

Agenda of Meeting
The two counterparts talked about ways and mechanisms to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries. These common spheres include economic cooperation, as well as regional & international issues of common interest.
In addition to that, both officials signed an MoU for cooperation between the Diplomatic Academy of Foreign Affairs Croatia and Diplomatic Institute and International Relations of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs Algeria.
Business Council between Algeria and Croatia
Both countries have created a Business Council to boost joint economic cooperation. The Vice-President of the Croatian Chamber of Economics, Ivan Barbarić, and Head of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tayeb Chabab signed an Algerian-Croatian Business Council agreement.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Croatia’s Foreign Minister and the Algerian Foreign Minister, on Sunday.
Apart from that, the Head of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tayeb Chabab spoke at the ceremony. He described investment opportunities in Algeria, especially in the industry and tourism sector.
Further, he pointed out several promising opportunities for investment in Algeria in several sectors, including tourism and industry. He also invited the Croatian businessman to utilize Algeria’s strategic location.
Moreover, the Croatian Vice-President of Commerce showed interest in Algeria’s food industry, animal husbandry, and renewable sector.
