Vienna, 11 August 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday, Afghans living in Austria protested in front of the United Nations Office in Vienna. Protestors condemned the ongoing proxy war in Afghanistan and raised concern over the violations and war crimes committed by the Taliban.
Following the withdrawal of US security forces, the violence has escalated in the last two months. Overseas Afghans from all around the world are expressing their support for the Afghan people while condemning the Taliban’s atrocities. Protesters are calling for the demolition of terrorist safe havens as well as a long-term peace solution in Afghanistan.
