Afghan students Visited Pakistan’s Embassy in Kabul

-

Islamabad, 29 October 2021 (TDI): Students from Afghanistan who are studying computer and English language courses on Thursday 28 visited the Vocational Training Institute at the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul.

Pakistan Ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, greeted the students and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment towards Afghan students’ education.

He claimed that over 50,000 Afghans who graduated from Pakistani universities are currently working in Afghanistan’s public sectors and playing an important role in improving Afghan society.

It is pertinent to mention that the Institute resumed education after the Covid-19 pandemic using the purpose-built classrooms at the embassy building on 17 October 2021.

Each year, Pakistan grants 1,000 scholarships to Afghan students through its Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship program.

The next year’s scholarship tests will take place before the end of the calendar year.
