ISLAMABAD (TDI): As many as 56 Pakistani nationals have been repatriated from Sri Lanka who were imprisoned in jail for several years.
A chartered plane was dispatched to bring them back, comprising five women and 51 men.
The repatriation came after three months of negotiations between the Ministry, led by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Sri Lankan authorities.
56 Pakistanis Returns Home
Upon their return, one of the women expressed her gratitude to the government for facilitating their safe return. A man shared his relief at being back in Pakistan after enduring difficult conditions during their imprisonment.

Interior Minister Naqvi expressed appreciation for the role of the Sri Lankan government and its high commissioner in the repatriation process.
He also thanked Federal Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan for his generosity in covering the expenses associated with the repatriation.
